the memorandum of understanding (mou) for feasibility study on the laos 100mw solar & wind pilot project was signed with lao ministry of energy and mines (mem) and electricité du laos (edl) in 2016, including attapu 50mw photovoltaic power subproject and paksong 50mw wind power subproject. the contract of the laos 50mw wind pilot project was signed with edl-generation public company (edl-g) in 2017.
the laos 50mw wind pilot project, which is the first wind power project in laos, is located in paksong county, pakse city, champasak province, the lao people's democratic republic. the planned final scale of the wind pilot project is 100mw, and this current scale is 50mw.
